Frequently Asked Questions

We are currently focusing primarily on a selection of string instruments, including guitars, banjos, mandolins, ukuleles, and dulcimers, in a variety of shapes, sizes and models. We are looking into carrying violins and fiddles, bass guitars, upright bass, harp-guitars and other acoustic stringed instruments. We have had questions about wind instruments as well - we'll add that to our wish list!

Yes! We will offer beginner guitar and mandolin lessons at the shop and have a lesson room available for use by anyone in the community interested in providing more advanced lessons for these and other acoustic instruments. We are also working with community partners to grow the availability of lessons for more types of instruments and skill levels. We will also have jam sessions for different levels, open workshops for all skill levels, and more. We believe playing together, regardless of skill level, is the best thing for motivation and support.

We will have all the usual accessories: strings, picks, straps, tuners, music stands, and cases, as well as t-shirts, hats, and other merch. We're keeping an eye out for other fun stuff to have at the shop. If you have any special requests, let us know!

Yes! We will offer a range of basic services in-house and are working with trusted partners to address high-end repairs.

No, we're not planning to, but we will ship instruments. We believe you need to see, touch, hold, and play your instrument, maybe even a few times, before you buy. We encourage you to come in and try a variety of shapes, sizes and types of woods to find the one that you connect with and want to play every day. If you're just passing through town and decide later you'd like to buy one, give us a call and we will pack and ship.
